Management Plan

How the Geopark and the Biosphere Reserve are managed, area by area, in line with UNESCO requirements.

Both UNESCO designations require a management plan, and both are reviewed against it: the Geopark through revalidation every four years, the Biosphere Reserve through its periodic review. Rinjani-Lombok keeps one management plan that meets the requirements of both, covering conservation, education, research, tourism, community development and governance.
